I decided to start a blog about my new/old hobby , which is electronic synthesizers and of course my music project with a few of my friends.
The reason its New AND Old is that Ive always been enamored and interested in synthesizers and electronic music, but I never had the extra cashflow to justify buying something I couldnt play :) This changed recently when I purchased a used Korg Kaossilator for less than haf price followed up by a Roland TR505 drum machine for 20 bucks!
I went to my good friends house and noodled away and basically felt like a kid at christmas, what an intriguing and interesting experience , My fiend and bandmate Mike Tango had 2 korg kaossilators, the newer base model and the KP2 that has some impressive filters on it, plus he also has a Korg Monotribe abd a monotron, which we used to filter the drum machine with . Unfortunately mye 2 items were more of a gateway drug than I expected , so fairly quickly I started selling off junk and stuff I dont need or will never use to fund buying more gear . Our early mantra was " No synthesizers, we are just going to have fun and not worry about chords and learning the notes etc, just have fun" HAH! how soon we were proven wrong
